Addicted to: Ray Bans

Yes, they're back! The Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses are making their comeback. These vintage glasses were popularized in the 1960's thanks to the beloved Audrey Hepburn in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's.' Re-released in early 2008, celebs are on these glasses like white on rice. The new 'colorized' Wayferers come in fab designs, such as tortoise-shell, gold, red, and black. Hello retro.

Chris Pine, Oh, so fine

Chris Pine was spotted in the May 2009 Issue of Vanity Fair. His fashion sense is great. I think his spread in Vanity Fair and his June 2009 spread in GQ are enough to make a girl faint. I'm gonna go off track here for a sec, and talk about a few gossip things. 1)I saw Star Trek. 2)It was amazing. 3)Chris Pine is so gorgeous. 4)Then WHY oh, why, is he rumored to be dating Audrina Patridge, from The Hills? 5)For God sakes, I'll marry him!

Alright, my rant is done. Summer is in full bloom! Let's break out those cute dresses and gladiator sandals!

Spring 2009 Trends

Not to keep reiterating the recession, but the new trends are hitting the nail right on the head. As Style.com puts it, it seems as if the designers are going for a 'depression chic' look this spring. Burberry, Bottega Veneta, Alberta Ferretti, Marc Jacobs, and Jil Sander are all joining in on this disheveled, unkempt trend.

The Japanese fashion label, whose name comes from a French phrase, meaning
"like boys", is teaming up with Converse this summer. The shoes are set to come out in July and they are sure to go quick. The label's 'techno couture' attitude has made it extremely popular within the celebrity world. What makes this brand great is the fact that many of it's pieces are cheap enough for anyone to afford. E-bay should become everyone's favorite store.

Dress For Less

I think we all are starting to realize this recession means business. Looks like it might be hanging around for longer than we thought. No worries! Stores such as Target, Wal-Mart, and Kohl's have us covered. They all have one thing in common-designers for less! With Target having brands like Alexander McQueen and Thakoon, who wouldn't want to shop there? And let's not forget about the ever-cheap yet ever-chic, H&M. Something's telling me that we will make it through this money crisis just fine.

I Heart Vogue

Good News! I will be in the March 2009 Issue of Vogue under the 'Talking Back' section. Being only newly 19, maybe I'm the youngest person to ever write to them? Who knows. Enjoy (:

BFlow!

Okay, so since this is a "fashion blog," I'm only supposed to talk fashion. Thank god one of my favorite people in the entire world knows how to dress. Brandon Flowers did this "How To Buy A Tux" shoot for GQ and I personally think he looks amazing. Well doesn't he always? ;) Anyways, his velvet Neil Barrett blazer and Just Cavalli jeans (yes, those are jeans) look simple, but modern. I think he can pull off pretty much everything? From his old snakeskin-print Dior Homme track jacket days to his more modern Dolce & Gabbana feather-friendly blazer, there is nothing this man can't wear.
